What the Sales Development Account Manager does at Worldwide

The Sales Development Account Manager plays a critical role in helping the organization achieve our customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives by engaging with prospective clients and internal stakeholders to build an effective new business pipeline, alongside their Colleagues and Mentors.

What you will do

Tasks may include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Partner with Business Development to tackle territory targets and goals, and Marketing to understand and leverage their initiatives

  • Source new sales opportunities for your Business Development partners through inbound lead qualification and outbound prospecting

  • Continually maintain and expand your database/funnel of target accounts, prospects, and opportunities within your territories

  • Achieve quarterly and annual lead generation goals as outlined in the sales incentive comp plan related to RFPs, Meetings, and RFPs converted to wins

  • Engage and build rapport with prospects through calls, emails, and social outreach activity


What you bring to the role

  • You are approachable with a high level of optimism and great people skills to foster a strong team environment

  • You strive to understand best practices and coach the team on these

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to clearly and concisely present information on calls and via email

  • Drive and determination to succeed as well as meet and exceed targets and quotas

  • Experience with CRM and strive to leverage other selling technology and tools


Your experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or related discipline

  • Experience inside sales and/or sales development or a related field - including experience in developing new business, lead nurturing and qualification, prospecting, and appointment setting

  • CRO/pharmaceutical industry experience preferred, including knowledge of Phase I-IV clinical research and development

  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM and sales automation tools
