Job description

Operational Excellence:
  • Perform all inbound, outbound, and internal warehouse activities including receiving, unloading, put-away, replenishment, and shipping using SAP-EWM or RF systems.
  • Operate stand-up counterbalance forklifts, reach trucks, and powered pallet jacks to safely move materials within the warehouse and production support areas.
  • Support Vongal palletizer and inline wrapper operations by ensuring proper material flow, load formation, and film application; address minor jams and escalate maintenance issues promptly.
  • Utilize the pallet inverter to transfer materials between wood, plastic, or CHEP pallets for production or outbound compatibility.
  • Replenish raw and packaging materials to production areas and dough room kits in alignment with staging or demand triggers.
  • Conduct accurate trailer loading and unloading, following the 3-Step Trailer Securing Method and dock safety controls (wheel chocks, gladhand lock, dock light status).
  • Complete all SAP transactions for goods movements, confirming accuracy of quantities, lot codes, and locations.

Safety & Compliance:
  • Adhere to all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies, including use of required PPE, pedestrian awareness, and safe MHE operation.
  • Complete and document pre-use inspections of powered equipment daily; apply Tag Out of Service when necessary.
  • Report all near misses, incidents, or unsafe conditions immediately to supervision.
  • Follow all food safety and pest control requirements — report and document any insect sightings per standard procedure.
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA, DOT, and internal site safety standards at all times.

Quality & Food Safety:
  • Inspect materials and finished goods for contamination, damage, or labeling errors prior to storage or shipment.
  • Maintain ingredient integrity by preventing cross contamination during product transfers and changeovers
  • Support segregation and correct disposition of Good/Hold/Reject materials.
  • Follow allergen control, sanitation, and housekeeping standards to prevent cross-contamination.
  • Maintain product traceability and labeling integrity during all material movements.

Inventory Control & Systems Accuracy:
  • Execute warehouse transactions accurately in SAP-EWM/ECC to ensure real-time inventory visibility.
  • Participate in cycle counts and wall-to-wall inventories to reconcile physical vs. system counts.
  • Identify and escalate inventory discrepancies promptly to inventory control or supervision.
  • Support KPI performance for inventory accuracy, service, and warehouse efficiency.

Continuous Improvement & Team Collaboration:
  • Participate in IL6S, Kaizen, and 5S initiatives focused on improving safety, quality, and operational performance.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams (Production, Quality, Maintenance, Planning, Logistics).
  • Support onboarding and peer training by modeling safe, standardized work practices.
  • Contribute to a culture of engagement, accountability, and continuous learning.

Qualifications:
Required:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 3+ year experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment.
  • 2+ year experience operating Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIV) including stand-up counterbalance forklifts and stand-up reach forklifts
  • Familiarity with SAP-EWM or other warehouse management systems (WMS) and use of RFID.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a fast-paced, food-grade environment.
  • Strong adaptability to take on diverse responsibilities and perform other assigned duties.

Preferred:
  • Experience supporting automated palletizing or packaging equipment (Vongal, inline wrappers, etc.).
  • Prior exposure to food manufacturing, 3PL, or consumer goods environments.
  • Knowledge of IL6S / Lean / 5S principles and basic continuous improvement tools.
