This position is an onsite role, based in Indianapolis, IN at the Clif Bar Plant.

How you will contribute

Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior technicians promoting knowledge sharing, troubleshooting expertise, and adherence to engineering best practices.

Drive continues improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance system reliability, optimize control strategies, and champion standardization across automation platforms.

Ensure personal safety, food safety and quality protocolsare followed.

Manage and execute the modification and optimization of instrumentation and control systems including PLC programs and HMI applications.

Develop andmaintainfacility As-Built Electrical, Controls, and Process Drawings. Develop andmaintaincontrol system documentation and documentationchangecontrol procedures.

Ensure plant modifications, upgrades, and new installationscomply withFederal, State, and Local engineering codes and regulations.

Maintaina high levelof equipment reliabilityutilizingmaintenance, engineering, andappropriate resourcesto resolve equipment availability issues.

Provide technical resources for incident investigation, cause analysis, and corrective action. Participate when requested in the finished product and raw ingredient non-conformance process.

Assistin developing and delivering electronics and controls training for themaintenancetechnicians.

Manage calibration of plant instrumentation.

Troubleshoot process, control, and electrical equipment.

Work with the engineering, maintenance, and quality departments to ensureaccurateandtimelyinformationis providedto ensure and verify the quality of finished product.

Ensure that the processes in the plant do not deviate from the validated conditions.

Perform other related duties as requested

  • Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook calendar and email management, and written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing and maintenance requirements to meet personnel safety, food safety, and quality standards.

  • Knowledge of NEC, OSHA, ISA, and ANSI requirements.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems related to PLCs, HMIs, Ethernet communications, sensors, robots, servo drives, and vision systems.

  • Ability to read and troubleshoot using blueprints and electrical schematics.
  • Experienced attraining maintenanceand production personnel.
  • Experience withpreviousmanufacturing plant or line start-upsa strongplus.
  • ExperiencewithSCADAhighlydesired.

Education / Certifications:

Minimum of4-yearB.S. degree inElectrical Engineeringor related field preferred.

Minimum of5years' experienceinautomation and controls in a production facility.

Experience in a manufacturing or food production environmenta plus.

Salary and Benefits:The base salary range for this position is $109,000 to $149,875; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education and location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results. In addition, Mondelez International offers the following benefits: health insurance, wellness and family support programs, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plans, paid leave programs, education related programs, paid holidays and vacation time. Some of these benefits have eligibility requirements.
