Fiduciary Trust International is hiring a Trust Administrator / Relationship Associate (RA) to work in our Coral Gables, FL office near Miami.
The RA partners with the firm's Trust Officers, Relationship Managers, and Portfolio Managers in managing the wealth and financial needs of our High-Net-Worth clients. Associates interact directly with High-Net-Worth (HNW) clients and manage follow-up and/or ongoing client deliverables. As RAs gain more experience, they take on greater responsibility on smaller client relationships so that Relationship Managers, Portfolio Managers and Trust Officers can focus on larger and more complex client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
  • Works with Trust Officers, Relationships Managers, and Portfolio Managers on HNW family relationships and prospects, including: account administration, preparing wealth projections, preparation of cash flows, fee reviews, and preparation of PowerPoint presentations for client meetings
  • Partners with Trust Officers to maintain client contact. Acts as a key point of contact for client and intermediaries with accountants, attorneys, and other advisors
  • Reviews daily overdraft report to determine how to cure income overdrafts. Coordinates with Portfolio Manager to raise cash to cure principal overdrafts
  • Initiates wire transfers, discretionary principal payments, currency transactions, bill paying, and gifts & contributions
  • Assists Trust Officers with trust terminations and account closing in coordination with our Trust Counsel and Tax Department
  • Partners with RM to understand client goals, which may include attending client meetings to better understanding the clients' extended family and subsequent generations
  • New Account Openings: Analyzes relevant documents to begin KYC. Reviews account openings with RM to determine proper administration of account, state law requirements, beneficiaries, tax suits, and fee analysis

Ideal Qualifications
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2-5 years' experience in financial services with client-facing experience preferred
  • Trust Administration background and knowledge preferred; ability to review and interpret trust language a plus
  • Desire to learn and grow within the client service model
  • Basic knowledge of competitors desired

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment while balancing the needs of the client
  • Effective interpersonal skills and relationship building skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle client account information with discretion
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work in office a minimum of three days per week (in Coral Gables, Florida)

Compensation: Franklin Templeton offers employees a competitive and valuable range of total rewards-monetary and non-monetary - designed to support their well-being and recognize their time, talents, and results.
