Job description

Sr. Development Professional

Our client is a leading Real Estate Developer in the GTA. We are conducting a search for a Sr. Development Professional to join this dynamic team. Sr. Development Professional provides oversight and integration of the project activities performed by the various functional areas (including planning, sales and marketing, construction, accounting, design, value engineering, color selection & personalization, master care, and property management) by building strong relationships with all key project stakeholders.

· Oversee and manage all land development and various site acquisitions responsibilities for a number of projects and trade areas within the Portfolio.

· Responsive to development opportunities in accordance with the project plan approval procedures

· Involved with site acquisition and dealing with the various consultants throughout the acquisition process

· Execute approved project plans through the coordination of, and teaming with, outside consultants, development staff

· Oversee the approvals process from official plan amendments, site plan approvals as well as manage the approval process for zoning and rezoning permits

· Identify suitable sites for retail development within specified markets

· Provide project status updates in accordance with the project plan approval procedures, project update meetings, and project plan revisions or updates to Sr. Management and/or JV Partners.

Qualification:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Planning, Urban Land Economics, or related field, and or Professional Designation

· Minimum 10 years of experience in a Highrise land development working with theToronto Municipality

· Demonstrable experience in seeking land use entitlements

· Managing a professional consultant team, stakeholders, and government department relationships

· Must own personal vehicle and have a valid driver’s license as some travel will be required.
