    • Industrial Hygiene services including noise monitoring, ventilation evaluations, and personal exposure monitoring
  • Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, proposals, and work plans while monitoring project performance from kickoff through completion.
  • Review technical reports, project deliverables, and regulatory documentation to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance.

  • Mentor and support project managers, scientists, and field staff by providing technical guidance and encouraging professional development.
  • Conduct occasional site visits throughout the DC, Maryland, and Virginia region for senior-level inspections, quality assurance, client meetings, and project planning.
  • Collaborate with Industrial Hygiene professionals and technical experts across Apex's offices to deliver innovative solutions and share best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships and support new project opportunities by consistently delivering outstanding service and technical expertise.
  • Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement on every project.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related discipline (Master's degree preferred).
  • 10+ years of consulting experience managing Industrial Hygiene and hazardous materials projects.
  • Professional certification such as CIH, CSP, or other relevant credentials is preferred.
  • Strong technical knowledge of asbestos, lead-based paint, mold, indoor air quality, and traditional Industrial Hygiene practices.
  • Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, schedules, proposals, subcontractors, and technical deliverables.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects while balancing changing priorities and client expectations.
  • Excellent technical writing, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience mentoring and developing junior staff within a collaborative consulting environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365; experience with Deltek Vision and CRM platforms is a plus.
  • Ability to travel approximately 5-10% throughout the DC, Maryland, and Virginia region.

  • Company-subsidized medical and dental coverage.
  • Company-paid life, short-term disability, and long-term disability insurance.
  • 401(k) with company match, tuition assistance, and professional development opportunities.
