Client Development Coordinator – Energy
Houston, TX | Hybrid | Full-Time

Up to $102K


We are partnering with a prestigious international law firm to identify a Client Development Coordinator to support one of the firm's premier Energy practices. This is an excellent opportunity for a business development or legal marketing professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and wants to play a key role in supporting strategic growth initiatives across a nationally recognized practice.


This position works closely with attorneys and business development leadership to execute marketing initiatives, prepare client-facing materials, coordinate events, and support business development efforts across multiple energy-related practice areas.


Responsibilities

  • Support business development and marketing initiatives for a nationally recognized Energy practice.
  • Prepare high-quality pitch books, RFP responses, presentations, brochures, website content, invitations, and other marketing materials.
  • Coordinate conferences, sponsorships, speaking engagements, and client events from planning through post-event follow-up.
  • Organize practice group meetings, prepare agendas, track action items, and assist with strategic planning initiatives.
  • Assist with legal directory and award submissions, including compiling attorney and client references.
  • Track representative matters and experience for marketing, credentialing, and proposal purposes.
  • Maintain CRM data, contact lists, and marketing databases.
  • Update attorney biographies, practice descriptions, case studies, and other marketing collateral.
  • Coordinate internal communications related to marketing initiatives and events.
  • Partner with internal teams to conduct client, industry, and competitive research.
  • Assist with reporting, budgeting, and special projects as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in business development, marketing, or a related role.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with attorneys, clients, and internal teams.
  • Willingness to work occasional overtime and travel for conferences or events.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in legal or professional services marketing/business development.
  • Interest or experience within the energy industry.
  • Experience with CRM platforms and marketing technologies.
  • Familiarity with AI productivity tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or Claude.
  • Experience with email marketing platforms, legal research resources, or business development software.
