Job description

Job purpose

  • The Business Development Associate is responsible for solidifying relations with existing clients and developing new clients; takes part in activities and efforts to expand sales and new business.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintains client relationship through regular contact and customer service
  • Makes contacts with potential clients to create new business opportunities
  • ย Understands all of the company's service offerings and communicates them to clients and prospective clients
  • Assists in developing and facilitating the proposal process for new clients
  • Assisted the manager with the budget, price development, proposal writing, contract negotiations and client presentations
  • Makes cold calls for new business and coordinates with other associates to increase sales
  • Schedules meetings and conducts presentations for prospective clients
  • Keeps client and prospective client database updated
  • Attends trade shows, seminars, and conferences per manager
  • Generates sales reports and analyzes numbers ย Helps to resolve client issues or complaints

Qualifications and Education

These are the qualifications that are necessary for someone to be considered for the position.

Qualifications include:

  • ย Minimum of five (5) years, full-time experience in Sales
  • Strong Customer Service and presentational skills
  • Ability to work independently and be an effective multi-task
  • Have good negotiation, active listener, and detailed oriented
  • Working knowledge of construction techniques a plus
  • Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word
