AUDIT CLERK-WV STATE AUDITOR'S OFFICE-KANAWHA CO.
Job Location: Capitol Complex 1900 Kanawha Boulevard E. Charleston, WV 25305
Salary: $40,000/year
The Audit Clerk is responsible for reviewing payment requests submitted electronically in the wvOASIS system by all state agencies.
Job Overview
The Audit Clerk will review payment requests in accordance with the policies and procedures set forth by the West Virginia State Auditor's Office, Legislative Rule Title 155, State Purchasing Division guidelines, Higher Education guidelines, and West Virginia code. The supporting documentation must meet contractual agreements, grant award, purchase orders and/or other binding agreement requirements.
Responsibilities for the Audit Clerk
• Review payment requests in a timely and efficient manner.
• Ability to apply current auditing procedures to new payment types.
• Provide positive customer service.
Experience and Skills
• Full-time experience in wvOASIS - Financial Accounts Payable is preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Proficiency in Excel).
• Ability to work independently towards a common goal.
• Self-starter and highly motivated.
• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Four-year degree from an accredited college or university in accounting, business administration, business information systems or a related field.
  • Substitution: Full-time experience in wvOASIS - Financial Accounts Payable may be considered equivalent to educational credentials.
