Requirements

 SUMMARY

Responsible for supporting daily operations in the logistics department, ensuring the smooth execution of production tasks. This position requires a hands-on approach to collaborating with other team members to ensure that quality standards on consistently met. The Logistics Clerk I will focus on supporting the Shipping and Receiving Leads to ensure product is safely transferred to its correct pallet, ensure orders are shipped on time, troubleshooting issues, and ensure efficient and effective logistics processes. 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Ship customer orders by preparing, packaging, shrink wrapping, palletizing, labeling, and strapping materials for shipment.

Operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) safely if certified. 

Schedule and coordinate outbound shipments and freight loads with carriers.

Prepare and process all required domestic and international shipping documentation.

Obtain shipment quotes, freight estimates, and coordinate carrier selection when required.

Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities, condition, and documentation against packing slips and purchase orders.

Unload incoming deliveries safely using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment.

Process shipping/receiving transactions within EPICOR.

Stage, organize, and distribute received materials to appropriate warehouse locations.

Maintain shipping and receiving records, logs, and filing systems.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform other duties/tasks as assigned/cross-train, abide by all rules and regulations as set forth in your employee handbook.

Always follow all ESL safety procedures and standard operating practices. 

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation following 5S principles. 

Communicate with leads, supervisors, or managers to clarify instructions or report issues. 

Practice ESL's core values in daily work and interactions. 

Cross-train in related tasks and perform other duties as assigned. 

Follow all rules, policies, and guidelines outlined in the employee handbook.


QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of six months to 1 year of logistics or related experience

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Standing 23%, sitting 10%, walking 17%, computer use 18%, bending 16%, 

stooping 16%, lifting up to 50 lbs.

Work with ladders up to 12 feet

Wear common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes and safety glasses


WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to normal operating working conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
