National Interstate is looking for a Claims Operations Associate to join their team. This individual will work a hybrid schedule out of the Richfield, OH office.

National Interstate's culture is built on connection, shared learning, and strong relationships. To support this, employees in this role are expected to be on-site four days a week, with the flexibility to work one day remotely. Core in-office days are Tuesday–Thursday, with the fourth day determined by business needs.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

  • Processes and organizes claim file information for basic claims for one or more lines.
  • Handles moderately complex claims including claims with coverage questions or recovery potential.
  • Assists in identifying opportunities to streamline claims procedures, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Education: High School Diploma (Associate degree preferred) Experience: Generally, a minimum of 3 years of experience in claim operations or customer service. Scope of Job/Qualifications: Develops knowledge of local, state, and federal insurance-related policies. Effective analytical and organizational abilities with a focus on prioritization. Working knowledge of claim data processing systems. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
