Claim Intake (Claims Operations Support Specialist):
This position can be filled in: Buckhead Atlanta or Chicago
Position is in-office.
Description
Essential Job Functions:
This position is responsible for supporting Claims Modernization initiative and claims processing for all profit centers. The work activities will include:
  • Receives and assess First Notice of Loss for set up in claims system or distribution to third parties.
  • Assist with processing Five Sigma escalations.
  • Research policy and client information in Claims/Underwriting systems.
  • Creates claims in Claims Systems for various lines of business.
  • Issue acknowledgement letters and other claims correspondence.
  • Respond to inquiries from internal and external parties.
  • Create loss runs from internal systems.
  • Creating production/analysis reports.
  • Conduct User Acceptance Testing for enhancements and product development as needed.
  • Communicate with claim managers, brokers, underwriters as needed for proper processing of claims.
  • Peer Training and conducting Quality Checks (Five Sigma vs. Claims Enterprise)
  • Other duties as required.

Position Requirements:
• Education: Associate degree or equivalent experience including 1-2 years in commercial insurance industry Claims Support role.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Proficient communication skills (oral and written)
  • MS Office Suite
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous Claim Support Role a plus
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Basic knowledge of the insurance industry or technical specialty
  • Basic knowledge of processing insurance mail
  • Ability to produce high work volume with precise accuracy
