Job Summary:
Trinity United Church of Christ is seeking an IT & Digital Systems Manager to provide leadership and oversight for the churchโ€™s technology systems. This role involves planning, implementing, and managing the entire technology ecosystem, ensuring reliable and secure technology services while supporting staff and aligning IT systems with the churchโ€™s mission.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Oversee configuration, installation, maintenance, and support of LAN/WAN systems and network infrastructure.
โ€ข Ensure performance, reliability, and security of servers, firewalls, switches, and connectivity systems.
โ€ข Maintain system documentation, network diagrams, and configuration records.
โ€ข Partner with Managed Service Provider (ProviNET) to monitor infrastructure and resolve issues.
โ€ข Initiate and manage IT service tickets and ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
โ€ข Serve as primary liaison with all third-party IT vendors and service providers.
โ€ข Manage the relationship and service agreement with ProviNET, including performance and contract oversight.
โ€ข Coordinate system upgrades, maintenance, and infrastructure improvements.
โ€ข Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and service providers.
โ€ข Oversee vendor-supported systems including security platforms, telecommunications, and cloud services.
โ€ข Administer and manage core systems including Microsoft 365, email, cloud applications, and user access.
โ€ข Oversee licensing, provisioning, and deactivation of software (e.g., Adobe, Dropbox, SurveyMonkey, Constant Contact).
โ€ข Act as system administrator for key platforms, ensuring proper access, usage, and governance.
โ€ข Serve as escalation point for church management systems (ACS / Ministry Platform).
โ€ข Maintain secure credential management and oversee transition of system access and passwords.
โ€ข Manage and support cloud-based phone systems (e.g., 8x8), including moves, adds, and changes.
โ€ข Troubleshoot communication system issues and coordinate vendor support.
โ€ข Oversee implementation of new communication tools such as DialMyCalls.
โ€ข Ensure reliable communication systems across multiple facilities.
โ€ข Oversee implementation and management of cybersecurity tools and protocols.
โ€ข Administer security awareness platforms (e.g., phishing simulations and training tools).
โ€ข Manage personal data protection tools for staff (e.g., Ironwall, Incogni).
โ€ข Ensure compliance with data protection best practices and minimize organizational risk.
โ€ข Monitor system vulnerabilities and coordinate mitigation efforts with vendors.
โ€ข Provide administrative oversight of websites, domains, and hosting platforms.
โ€ข Coordinate with Media and Ministry teams supporting streaming, mobile apps, and content platforms.
โ€ข Ensure continuity and access to platforms such as websites, streaming tools, and digital media systems.
โ€ข Maintain visibility into all online tools used across ministries.
โ€ข Provide onboarding and ongoing training for staff on IT systems and tools.
โ€ข Offer troubleshooting support and guidance on best practices.
โ€ข Equip ministry leaders and staff to effectively use technology resources.
โ€ข Identify opportunities to improve systems, workflows, and technology efficiency.
โ€ข Lead implementation of new tools and systems aligned with organizational needs.
โ€ข Support long-term IT planning and digital transformation initiatives.
โ€ข Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent technical training and professional experience.
โ€ข Strong knowledge of network administration, cloud-based systems, and telecommunications.
โ€ข Experience managing vendors and outsourced IT service providers.
โ€ข Proficiency in systems administration, software licensing, and user access management.
โ€ข Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and data protection practices.
โ€ข Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
โ€ข Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
โ€ข Strong communication skills to effectively train, support, and collaborate with staff and ministry leaders across varying levels of technical ability.
