Job description

Position Summary:
The Ministry Assistant provides administrative, logistical, and ministry coordination support across multiple adult ministries. This role exists to remove operational barriers so ministry directors can focus on caring for people, developing leaders, and advancing the mission of the church. More than an administrative position, this role serves as a ministry partner by coordinating ministry systems, supporting volunteers, facilitating communication, and ensuring ministry activities are organized and executed with excellence. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and enjoys helping others succeed behind the scenes.
Key Responsibilities
1 Ongoing Ministry Support - Provide consistent operational support that keeps ministries running smoothly by:
  • Maintaining ministry records and church database information
  • Coordinating ministry communications and participant and volunteer follow-up
  • Managing prayer request workflows and ministry assignments
  • Assisting ministry directors with recurring administrative needs
  • Maintaining ministry resources, supplies, and materials

2 Ministry Launch Coordination - Coordinate the admin and logistical preparation for recurring ministry initiatives such as classes, studies, support groups, and seasonal ministry offerings by:
  • Coordinating room reservations and facility requests
  • Preparing communication requests and registration processes
  • Ordering and distributing curriculum and ministry materials
  • Supporting ministry leaders with participant information and logistical needs
  • Coordinating key cards, technology, and facility access
  • Providing launch support during the first several weeks of ministry initiatives

3. Event and Ministry Operation - Provide operational support for ministry events throughout the year by:
  • Coordinating logistics with Facilities, Technology, and Communications teams
  • Managing registrations and event preparation
  • Processing purchase requests and ministry expenses
  • Preparing materials and resources
  • Providing on-site event support and post-event follow-ups needed

4. Ministry Leader and Volunteer Support - Strengthen ministry effectiveness by:
  • Serving as a primary operational resource for volunteers and ministry leaders
  • Responding to ministry questions and resolving routine logistical issues
