Job description

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for effectively planning, organizing, and directing daily tasks within the Ride Maintenance Department. Works with Ride & Waterpark Maintenance Manager and Area Manager in assigning, instructing, training, and directing subordinates in a concise manner, with an emphasis on team member development and accountability.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

ยท Provides first-line supervision of Ride Mechanics as they perform daily tasks.

ยท Plan and schedule routine work and inspections.

ยท Recommend changes in procedure that are consistent with a continuous improvement approach within Ride Maintenance.

ยท Keep accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs performed by crews.

ยท Enforce company policies, including grooming standards and attendance policy compliance.

ยท Enforce company safety standards and assist in improving safety within the division wherever possible. Ensure certifications are up to date and maintained for all team members.

ยท Communicate with the Maintenance Managers to insure proper inventories of supplies, material, and parts are maintained. Makes and recommends purchases, in coordination with management team and suppliers/manufacturers.

ยท Manages the off-season overhaul process for area of responsibility, sets milestones, and ensures rides are delivered safely and on-time to the operations division for training.

ยท Partners with operations division to improve uptime and increase attraction reliability.

QUALIFICATIONS:

ยท High School graduate or G.E.D.

ยท Mechanical aptitude and minimum of 5 years experience as a mechanic or related field.

ยท Valid drivers license.

ยท Good writing and record keeping skills.

ยท Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and subordinates.

ยท Ability to give clear, concise directions for carrying out assigned tasks.

ยท Possess good work ethic and attendance record.

ยท Works well independently, and with others.

ยท Passion for team development, improving efficiency, and personal/team accountability.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

ยท Able to lift 75 pounds.

ยท Able to climb up to 200 feet in the air.
