Description

The IT & Audio-Visual Technician for the church manages the video camera & sound system in the church to insure that it broadcasted on our platforms and inside the sanctuary correctly, manages and updates the YouTube Mass schedule, coordinates with the Communication Coordinator to insure all aspects of our information & marketing items flawlessly presented at Mass and Events, coordinates and maintains all AV & IT equipment. Responsible for IT support to entire staff working with our IT outsource team.

Requirements

- Understanding how to operate the video camera controller system

- Understanding the video projection system and input control board

- Understanding the audio controller board and how to maintain the balance of sound effectively

- Understanding broadcasting & livestreaming on multiple outlets such as YouTube, FaceBook, and others.

- Understanding the Catholic Mass, the various parts of the Mass and how the Mass flows so as to know where to position camera shots.

- Understand how to interlace video and power point presentations both in the church's video monitors and on our streaming platforms.

- Ability to work most weekends; Saturday from 2:30pm to 8pm; Sunday from 6am to 7pm with a break from 2:30pm until 6:30pm. During the week, a schedule will be set according to the needs of the parish.

- Experience working with MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, YouTube, ProPresenter, OBS, and others.

- Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time

- Ability to communicate with clergy and staff effectively.  

- Ability to adapt to changes as they are presented. 

- IT Infrastructure & Support including:
   - Endpoint management: Deploy, configure, and maintain company desktops, laptops (Mac/PC), mobile devices, and peripherals.

    - Network Admin: Monitor office Wi-Fi and LAN connectivity to ensure high-speed stability for data-heavy AV streaming.

    - Security: Manage user permissions, SSO integrations, and ensure all hardware meets diocesan cybersecurity standards in cooperation with our IT outsource provider.

- Perform other assignments and duties as presented.
