Job Description

Responsible for selling the Teledyne LABS products including preparative chromatography, pumps, dissolution and diffusion products. Primary responsibility include finding, generating and developing new relationships in order to sell the company's products to end-users. Assesses and demonstrate potential application of company products or services and offers solutions that meet customer needs. Responsible for new account development and/or expanding existing accounts. Creates awareness and demand for company products. Sales coverage will be the New England region of the United States. Ideal locations would be Northern New Jersey or New York. Works remotely in home office environment under general supervision. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action; a certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Hit target for your territory for each fiscal year.

  • Develop and maintain a territory sales plan that focuses on key accounts and sales stimulus activities including planned seminars, product shows, and mailings.

  • Profile and penetrate key accounts by developing account profiles.

  • Understand customer organizations by department, function, strategies, and key programs.

  • Master the basic features and benefits of the primary products

  • Identify and sell into new and existing applications for Teledyne products.

  • Demonstrate basic operation of our products.

  • Effectively utilize sales resources including applications engineers, channel partners, inside sales representatives, and customer service representatives.

  • Daily availability to include evenings and weekends when necessary to reach goals and deadlines.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university in a related field and 2-5 years of directly related experience selling chromatography equipment and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
