Must have:
A minimum of Bachelor's in ECE or related field
Extensive knowledge of BFTS guidelines
Proven track record of success
At least 3 years of experience in helping operate a licensed childcare facility
Extensive knowledge of Procare childcare management software
Job Description: Director oversees the staff and the majority of daily tasks involved with school operation. The leader of the administrative team sharing responsibilities with the Curriculum Coordinator, Lead Teacher Admin, and Office Coordinator. Coordinating the day-to-day operations and procedures. The Director is responsible for planning, implementing, and administering the school's programs, operations and activities to meet the high standards the center has created.
Essential Duties: 

1. Manage the day-to-day operations of the school utilizing center's processes, procedures and policies.
2. Exhibit behaviors that show the ability to learn and adapt the learning to increase productivity and profitability of the center. 

3. Possesses education and experience for advancement within center.
4. Implement and supervise programs that follow the school's philosophy, educational goals, standards and procedures. 

5. Coordinate with the center's owner on how to: 
Consistently increase and maintain enrollment
Improve/maintain a high image of the school.
6. 
Maintain the school in a clean, safe and healthy manner.
7. 
Manage school budget effectively, 
provide parent participation/community relations opportunities

8. Maintain the human resource needs of the school including scheduling and running efficient payroll 

9. Motivate, mentor, 
expand knowledge and training of staff.
10. Improve effectiveness of staff
11. Know of the Bright from the Start Licensing Standards as they apply to the daily operation of the school and comply with local fire department and state health department regulations.
12. Learn and implement center's policies and procedures.
13. Keep records that pertain to the administration of the school in accordance with applicable state laws and center's policies.
14. Supervise the implementation of center's educational program for all classes
15. Maintain open communication with parents, staff and children.
16. Develop community ties through yearly calendar events.
17. Submit daily, weekly and monthly reports as required. 

18. Manage the school's equipment and supplies in a manner that maintains a safe, healthy and sanitary environment for the children.
19. Use basic computer software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Procare.
20. Ensure that all activities operate consistently and ethically within the mission and values of center.
21. Be passionate about center's mission and able to promote and communicate the philosophy, mission and values of center to coworkers, customers and the community.

Working Conditions: 

1. Physical Work Demands

a. Physically able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist and reach on a daily basis.
b. Able to lift and move up to 60 lbs. occasionally

2. Mental Work Demands

a. Able to be on time and commit to regular hours.
b. May exceed regular forty-hours per week schedule.
