Job Summary
CHEF MANAGER - RETAIL FOOD EXPERIENCE MEETS INNOVATION
Ready to take your restaurant, hotel, or hospitality experience into a leadership role with greater stability, strong growth potential, and the opportunity to build something new?
We're looking for a creative, tech-savvy Chef Manager to help transform our retail-only operation into a modern corporate dining experience. This location will operate with app-only ordering, so we need a leader who is comfortable with technology and excited about creating a fast, convenient, and engaging experience for our guests.
Healthcare experience is not required. We're interested in culinary leaders from restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, catering, and other high-volume hospitality environments.
JOB SUMMARY:
As the Chef Manager, you will lead both the culinary and retail foodservice operation. You'll oversee the kitchen, develop menus, manage food costs and inventory, lead the team, and help shape an innovative operation built around mobile ordering and excellent customer service.
This is a great opportunity for a hands-on, growth-minded culinary professional who enjoys creating great food, developing people, using technology, and improving the guest experience.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Lead all culinary and retail foodservice operations
  • Help transform the location into a modern, B&I-style corporate dining experience
  • Manage an app-only ordering system and ensure smooth execution from order placement through pickup
  • Train associates to successfully use technology and deliver fast, accurate service
  • Develop creative menus that drive participation and repeat business
  • Oversee food production, presentation, inventory, ordering, receiving, and purchasing
  • Manage food costs, labor, waste, and other controllable expenses
  • Maintain high standards for food quality, sanitation, safety, and customer service
  • Use guest feedback and operational data to improve menus, speed of service, and the overall experience
  • Build a positive, accountable, and hospitality-driven team culture
  • Support catering and special events as needed

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
  • At least three years of culinary or foodservice management experience
  • Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, catering, contract foodservice, or another high-volume hospitality environment
  • Strong technology skills and the ability to learn and manage app-based ordering systems
  • Experience with inventory, purchasing, menu development, and cost controls
  • Knowledge of food trends, production, sanitation, presentation, and food-cost management
  • A working knowledge of HACCP
  • Experience with exhibition or action-station cooking
  • P&L accountability or contract-managed foodservice experience is a plus
  • ServSafe certification is preferred
  • A passion for sustainability and locally sourced products

WHY JOIN US?
This isn't a traditional kitchen-management position. You'll have the opportunity to help reimagine the entire operation-combining great food, hospitality, technology, and convenience to create a modern retail dining experience.
