Job description

Middle School Math Teacher
Baton Rouge Ochsner Discovery Health Sciences Academy (BROD) is a newly authorized Type 2 Charter that is part of the Discovery Schools Charter Management Organization. We are excited to bring Discovery education to the Baton Rouge area through our second corporate partnership with Ochsner Health. The school opened for the 2023-24 school year, starting with grades PreK4 - 4th and will eventually educate students in grades PreK - 8th at full capacity.
Baton Rouge Ochsner Discovery Health Sciences Academy seeks a Bachelor's or Master's degree teacher certified in Middle School Mathematics. 1+ years of experience with middle school students in a school setting preferred. Knowledge of LEAP testing, ACT/SAT prep, and Louisiana State Standards preferred. Certification or interest in achieving certification in multiple areas a plus. A strong candidate will have an interest and ability to support one or more extracurricular clubs or sports outside of the regular school day. Training and workshops in the summer are required. Position available August 2026.
