TOPS Surgical Specialty Hospital, a leading surgical facility dedicated to providing high-quality care and a service-oriented environment, is seeking a skilled Charge Capture Analyst to join our team. As a charge capture analyst, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring smooth office operations.

Charge Capture Analyst at TOPS Surgical Specialty Hospital

This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate revenue cycle management by capturing and reconciling all billable services and supplies provided during patient care.

Responsibilities Include

  • Review daily surgical and procedural records to ensure accurate and complete charge capture
  • Audit documentation and coding to identify missing, incorrect, or inconsistent charges
  • Collaborate with clinical and billing teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely billing
  • Maintain and update charge master data in accordance with current payer guidelines and hospital policies
  • Input and validate charge data in the system, ensuring alignment with supporting documentation
  • Assist with compliance initiatives related to coding, billing, and documentation standards
  • Provide feedback and education to staff regarding documentation and charge capture best practices
  • Track trends and report charge capture issues to leadership for process improvement

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business, or a related field preferred
  • 1–2 years of experience in charge capture, medical billing, or coding (preferably in a surgical or hospital setting)
  • Previous exposure to hospital charge capture workflows and documentation audits is a plus
