Job description

We believe power is a promise - a shared commitment to be there for others when it matters most.

For more than 65 years, we've turned big ideas into solutions that help protect homes, strengthen businesses and build a more resilient, efficient, sustainable energy future.

Ready to Power a Smarter World with us?

As the Senior Channel Marketing Manager for Generac Solar & Storage, you will be the primary architect of our growth engine for residential energy solutions. Your mission is to build a loyal network of solar installers and contractors. This role is responsible for the end-to-end dealer lifecycle, from high-impact recruitment campaigns for our microinverter and home battery solutions to the long-term activation of our existing partner network.

While our primary focus is direct engagement with dealers, you will also strategically partner with our distribution network as a key path to market, leveraging those channels to broaden our reach and ensure seamless product availability. You will bridge the gap between product innovation and field execution, ensuring our installers and field sales teams have the high-velocity tools they need to win.

Responsibilities:

Dealer Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Lead the charge in identifying and attracting high-quality solar installers, electrical contractors, and home improvement pros.

  • Design multi-channel outbound recruitment campaigns (digital, direct, and event-based) that move prospects from initial interest to signed, trained, and active installers.

  • Develop and manage the "Path to Market" strategy, ensuring a friction-free onboarding experience that gets new dealers to their first installation quickly.

Account Activation & "Share of Wallet" Growth

  • Create "Always-On" marketing programs that drive dealers to lead with the full Generac ecosystem (Solar + Storage + Generators).

  • Manage the Go-to-Market (GTM) calendar, including trade show strategy, PR/thought leadership, and digital content that keeps Generac top-of-mind for the installer community.

  • Channel Integration: Partner with key distributors to execute joint marketing initiatives, using their footprint as a secondary channel to recruit and educate dealers at the local level.

Product-to-Sales Enablement

  • Collaborate with Product Management to translate technical innovations (microinverters, battery solutions, and load management) into "high-power" sales tools.

  • Equip the field sales team with the assets they need-persuasive decks, ROI calculators, and competitive battle cards-to recruit and support dealers effectively.

  • Oversee dealer-facing website content and digital assets to ensure our value proposition is clear, current, and foresight-driven.

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience: 7+ years of B2B2C channel marketing experience, specifically in the Energy, Renewables, or Home Improvement sectors.

  • Dealer-Centric Mindset: Proven track record of running direct-to-pro recruitment and marketing campaigns.

  • Channel Knowledge: Experience working within a distribution model (Manufacturer-to-Distributor-to-Dealer), knowing how to use distributors as a strategic lever for dealer growth.

  • Analytical Rigor: Experience building funnel and conversion models for channel or partner programs, including the ability to define lead volume requirements, model conversion rates across the partner lifecycle, and tie activity back to revenue targets.

  • Digital & B2B Marketing Tools: Hands-on experience with ABM platforms, sales enablement tools, and CRM systems (Salesforce preferred). Comfort evaluating, recommending, and implementing new tools to close gaps in the marketing-to-sales workflow.

  • Strategic Communication: Experience using PR, trade shows, and thought leadership to establish category dominance.

  • Technical Literacy: Ability to simplify complex energy ecosystems into compelling sales narratives for both contractors and homeowners.

Generac is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role based in (California ) is ($140,000 - $180,000.) This compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications and geographic location. This role is eligible for variable compensation including short term and long-term incentives.

"This position includes a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision plans; life, long-term disability, flexible spending and health savings accounts, accrued paid time off, 8 paid Holidays and 401(k) retirement benefits."
