Compensation: $26.00 per hour
Core business hours: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, 7.5-hour daily work schedule (flexibility to work overtime when required)

Primary role is to create customized channel and customer promotions, products and packaging (based on understanding of channel shoppers and customers) and associated sales presentations/collateral for customer sell-in by account Sales Managers.
Essential Duties:
  • Product/Package Opportunity Analysis. Conduct market product and packaging "gap analysis" (using syndicated data and visual store checks) to determine opportunities at individual accounts.
  • Product Packaging/Program Customization. Development of channel, customer customized programs and packaging configurations with assigned members of the Sales Team through Oracle processes. Manage and generate proposed new item samples and mock ups as it pertains to assigned channel of the business working with outside vendors and Pentel Buyer.
  • Profitability Analysis. Analysis of new items and displays for cost and profitability in a specific customer or channel per company profitability goals.
  • Project Management. Manage projects from idea to commercialization interacting with cross-functional team using company project management system.
  • Packaging and Display Execution. Develop and manage execution of proposed new item mixes and new custom displays including graphics, spec information, product mix, item#, and UPC.
  • Sales Collateral Development. Develop sales collateral to help sell-in of new programs, products and promotions.
  • Sales Partner Collaboration. Partner with sales team to attend and participate in new product POG and BTS account meetings and other account meetings as necessary.
  • Consumer Promotion Development. Participation in strategic development of new promotions, new product mix ideas and participation in new product naming brainstorming meetings.
  • Sales Presentations. Assist in development of PowerPoint presentations for sales account meetings and marketing department presentations as requested.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination. Coordinate, execute and manage marketing details of account accepted new item and display programs with a wide range of cross-functional departments internally and externally.
  • Social Media Platform Team Member/Contributor. Participate/serve in monthly planning meetings (lead by Digital Marketing Supervisor) and contribute to digital marketing calendar product and promotional content + key e-commerce account planning.
  • Attendance and punctuality are an essential job duty.

Requirements
Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree (business, marketing or finance preferred)
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working in consumer packaged goods marketing preferably in a trade marketing position
  • Experience with point-of-purchase display development and packaging graphic development

  • Ability to multi-task and work on different projects depending on deadlines
  • Must be able to speak and present effectively
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
  • Familiarity with NPD, Nielsen, IRI or other syndicated POS data is a major plus
  • Familiarity with Oracle
