What is a channel marketing manager?

A channel marketing manager oversees the development and implementation of a manufacturer’s channel marketing strategy. In marketing, a “channel” is a route through which a manufacturer sells their product. As a channel marketing manager, your job is to establish new channel partnerships to help maximize sales, and therefore profit. Your responsibilities include fostering strong relationships with each channel partner, such as wholesalers and retailers, and seizing each opportunity to develop a new profitable partnership. You must also work with other departments to establish guidelines for channel partnerships that best suit the company. You need at least a bachelor’s degree in marketing for this career.

How does a channel marketing manager typically collaborate with sales and partner teams to drive results?

Channel Marketing Managers work closely with both internal sales teams and external partners to develop co-marketing initiatives, align messaging, and ensure effective execution of campaigns. They regularly coordinate joint planning sessions, share insights on market trends, and monitor program performance to optimize strategies. What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a channel marketing manager, and why are they important?

Familiarity with CRM systems, marketing automation platforms, and data analytics tools is typically required. Outstanding communication, negotiation, and project management skills help you build strong partnerships and drive cross-functional initiatives. These abilities are crucial for maximizing partner performance, increasing market reach, and ensuring cohesive go-to-market strategies.

Job description

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Marketing Manager plays a central role in bringing CURE International’s marketing strategy to life. Working closely with the Marketing Director and cross-functional teams, this role leads integrated marketing campaigns that inspire donors, strengthen CURE’s brand, grow awareness, and engage supporters in the life-changing work God is doing through CURE around the world.

This role combines strategic marketing thinking with strong execution and project management. The Marketing Manager will lead campaigns across digital, email, web, social media, fundraising, direct mail, events, and other channels while ensuring CURE’s messaging is compelling, consistent, and aligned with its mission.

The ideal candidate is a creative and organized marketer who enjoys bringing people and projects together, understands nonprofit fundraising, and is excited about using technology, AI, and innovative marketing practices to help a mission-driven team accomplish more.

Why CURE?

At CURE International, your work has a direct connection to transforming the lives of children and families around the world. CURE operates pediatric surgical hospitals in countries where children often have little or no access to the specialized care they need, while also sharing the hope of Jesus Christ with patients and their families.

As part of the CURE team, you will have the opportunity to use your marketing expertise for something bigger than marketing. You’ll help tell stories that inspire generosity, build relationships with supporters, and connect people to a mission that is changing lives.

CURE is a collaborative, purpose-driven organization where people are encouraged to bring their skills, ideas, and passion to their work. If you are looking for a role where your marketing experience can make a meaningful difference, we invite you to join us.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Integrated Campaign Management (40%)

Lead the planning and execution of integrated marketing campaigns that advance CURE's fundraising, brand, and ministry objectives.

  • Lead integrated marketing campaigns from concept through launch, coordinating activities across fundraising, digital, web, social media, direct mail, events, stewardship, and other marketing channels.
  • Develop campaign plans, timelines, channel strategies, and execution plans that align marketing activities around clear objectives.
  • Coordinate campaign execution across internal teams and external partners, ensuring work is delivered on time and to a high standard.
  • Monitor campaign progress, proactively resolve execution challenges, and communicate priorities and status to key stakeholders.
  • Conduct post-campaign evaluations, analyze results, and recommend improvements to strengthen future marketing performance.
Marketing Execution (40%)

Develop and execute compelling marketing communications that engage supporters, strengthen CURE's brand, and increase fundraising effectiveness.

  • Develop marketing content and campaign messaging that connects supporters with CURE's mission and inspires action.
  • Write and edit marketing copy for email campaigns, digital marketing, websites, social media, fundraising initiatives, and donor communications as needed.
  • Execute digital marketing initiatives including email marketing, website content management, marketing automation, and social media campaigns.
  • Apply nonprofit fundraising and donor marketing best practices to improve campaign performance, audience engagement, and donor response.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Director, writers, designers, and external partners to continually improve the quality and effectiveness of CURE's marketing.

  • Leverage AI, automation, and marketing technology to streamline campaign execution and reduce repetitive administrative work.
  • Maintain marketing systems, workflows, and campaign documentation that improve visibility, accountability, and team effectiveness.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes, eliminate inefficiencies, and improve collaboration across the marketing team.
  • Support campaign reporting and marketing analytics to inform future planning and decision-making.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement by evaluating new marketing tools, technologies, and best practices that strengthen CURE's marketing capabilities.
