We are seeking a Director of Channel Marketing at AprilAire who will lead and oversee the strategic development, execution, and management of all channel marketing initiatives and programs. This position will focus on driving growth and enhancing market share through effective channel strategies, partner relationships, price management and marketing campaigns.


Responsibilities

Strategic Planning: 

  • Develop and execute comprehensive channel marketing strategies aligned with the company's overall business objectives and growth targets. 
  • Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer insights to identify opportunities and threats within the channel. 

Channel Program Management: 

  • Lead the development, implementation, and management of channel marketing go to market plans and strategies to improve AprilAire’s competitive advantage including strategic pricing plans, incentives, Healthy Air Partner programs, sell-through strategies, commercial programs, collateral development, new product launches and channel loyalty initiatives. 
  • Collaborate and lead cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of channel marketing initiatives across all touchpoints including sales, product management, and marketing communications. 

Channel Partner Collaboration: 

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with channel partners, distributors, industry influencers and dealers to maximize brand presence and drive sales through effective marketing collaboration. 
  • Provide guidance and support to partners, enabling them to effectively market and sell AprilAire products. 
  • Develop high ROI customer programming to promote AprilAire

Market Research and Analysis: 

  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and consumer insights to identify trends and opportunities for product positioning and marketing strategies. 
  • Use data and analytics to measure the performance of marketing initiatives and make data-driven decisions to optimize marketing efforts. 

Budget Management: 

  • Develop and manage the channel marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to achieve business objectives within budgetary constraints. 
  • Track and report on budget utilization and marketing ROI. 

Team Leadership and Development: 

  • Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing channel marketing team, providing guidance and coaching to ensure professional growth and team success. 
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability within the channel marketing team. 

Brand and Product Positioning: 

  • Work closely with the brand and product marketing teams to ensure consistent brand messaging and product positioning across all channel marketing efforts. 
  • Align marketing strategies with product launches and brand initiatives to drive successful product adoption and market penetration. 

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus. 
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful channel marketing strategies to drive growth, profitability, and market share gains across multiple B2B sales channels successfully managing conflict while creating value for competing customers. 
  • 10 years' experience in marketing, with a focus on channel marketing and strategic partnership management in consumer, commercial or industrial industry selling through 2-step wholesale distribution. Additional retail and D2C is a plus.  
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles, market dynamics, managing channel conflict and distribution strategies. 
  • Experience leading and developing a team, acting as a “player/coach,” and creating a “one team” mentality both within the team and outside the channel marketing team. 
  • Demonstrated experience managing budgets and resources effectively. 
  • Ability to analyze data, use insights, and conduct ROI analysis to optimize marketing strategies and campaigns.
