Job description

About Subsense
Subsense is a deep-tech company developing the world’s first non-surgical, bidirectional brain-computer interface powered by plasmonic and magnetoelectric nanoparticles. Our mission is to unlock direct communication between the human brain and AI - starting with medical applications such as stroke recovery and moving toward cognitive enhancement for healthy users. Headquartered in Palo Alto, Subsense brings together leading scientists and engineers to redefine the future of human–machine interaction.

The Opportunity

Build and run Subsense's social media strategy and execution across four channels, in tight coordination with our PR agency (narrative & news). You develop the visuals yourself in Subsense's brand style, following our brand guidebook. You turn a steady stream of company news and milestones into a consistent, credible, engaging presence — and ramp it up for the fundraising period.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the social strategy: content pillars, per-platform approach, calendar, cadence, and news-jacking around announcements.
  • Execute end-to-end: design on-brand visuals and animations per our brand guidebook, produce and edit short-form video, write platform-nativecopy (with PR on narrative), publish, and engage the community.
  • React promptly to news from PR and leadership, and integrate it across platforms with the right sequencing.
  • Analytics: track reach, views, target-audience growth, and engagement; report weekly and adjust.
  • Protect credibility: no over-claiming beyond R respect stealth and pre-clinical constraints (patent-first).

What You'll Bring

Must-have experience

  • 4+ years running B2B / deep-tech or science-adjacent social;proven audience growth (bring numbers).
  • Strong storytelling — translating complex tech for mixed audiences(technical, investor, general) without hype or inaccuracy.
  • Hands-on simple short-form video, plus creating visuals within abrand system.
  • Comfortable working to a brief (Subsense + PR) and iterating onfeedback.
  • Fluent English; US / global audience fluency.
  • Analytics fluency (LinkedIn / X insights, GA4, a social tool).

Strong plus

  • Fundraising / investor-audience content; deep-tech VC or family-office familiarity.
  • AI-assisted content workflows (efficiency for a small team).
  • Figma and Canva experience to design visuals and animations.
Channels & Intent
  • LinkedIn — primary channel; thought leadership, company milestones, team voice.
  • X — key channel to attract investor attention.
  • YouTube — podcasts, animation, explainer & long-form.
  • Instagram — broader audience, events, culture & behind-the-scenes.
  • Substack — possible, TBD.
