Overview
Apogee is recruiting for Program Managers to support a proposal effort on Space Systems Command (SSC) CG.
SSC CG is responsible for the planning, acquisition, and sustainment of space-enabled MilComm & PNT capabilities for National/Joint Force Operations. The Directorate acquires an integrated system of satellites, ground segments, and user equipment providing communications and PNT capabilities to aviation, maritime, and ground-mounted and dismounted users and fixed sites. Additionally, the Directorate is responsible for the effective administration, management, and execution of resources for all Programs within its portfolio.
This is a full-time role at Peterson SFB, Colorado Springs, CO.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for Information Management to include, but not limited to, developing, facilitating, updating, and/or coordinating 3-letter and 4-letter level briefings, tasks, reports, media queries, public releases, and special projects supporting paragraphs
  • Responsible for managing the coordination of the following areas' information requests
  • Respond to data calls, document reviews, acquisition reporting, travel requests, media requests, and other mandatory reporting
  • Confirm Program Documentation is consistent with applicable standards and report findings to the Government
  • Effectively receive documents, generate, distribute, track, and close tasks at the 2-letter and 3-letter levels to the maximum extent possible
  • Review staff responses for Government approval, distribution, and closure
  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise with the development of strategic long-term planning for the MilCOMM PNT Directorate
  • Assist with the schedule implementation and delivery of services
  • Compile documentation for milestone or other major reviews by senior officials
  • Provide articles, speeches, and testimony on the Directorate's operations and initiatives
  • review, coordinate, and process program information suitable for public release to industry, media, trade publications, international partners, and other program stakeholders
  • Coordinate PEO organization visits

Qualifications
Minimum Experience:
Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain an active Secret security clearance
Education: Bachelor's degree
Years of Experience: 10+ years of experience in Program Management with related experience.
Additional Experience:
  • Ability to provide strategic advice, technical guidance, and expertise to program and project staff
  • Ability to provide detailed analysis, evaluation, and recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance efforts for client-specific or mission-critical challenges/issues
  • Ability to consult with client to define needs and problems, supervise studies, and lead surveys to collect and analyze data to provide advice and recommend solutions
  • Ability to initiate, supervise, and/or develop requirements from a project's inception to conclusion for complex to extremely complex programs

Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Education: Master's Degree
Years of Experience: 15+years of experience to include:
  • 7+ years DoD experience

• Familiarity with space-related research, acquisitions, and communications disciplines
• Effective, efficient written and oral communication skills
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, responsible team player able to work independently with minimal daily direction
• Ability to work and interact with technically and organizationally diverse personnel
• Ability to work on high-visibility or mission-critical aspects of a given program and perform all functional duties independently
• Ability to oversee the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job
