Job description

Odyssey Systems has an exciting new opportunity for a Program Manager supporting the 4STS Program Office, Mission Delta 4 (MD4) at Peterson Space Force Base (SFB), CO.  Odyssey is in search of an experienced professional interested in joining a fast-paced, dynamic team supporting the United States Space Force responsible for the sustainment of missile warning, missile defense, space domain awareness sensors and command and control systems. 


This is a full-time role at Peterson SFB, CO with hybrid flexibility 1 day per week - subject to change per the customer's discretion.

Duties include, but are not limited to: 

  • Support and conduct strategic planning consistent with program direction, resources, and objectives established by higher authority; make recommendations for improving division processes and products
  • Support road-map planning, development and review
  • Help lead acquisition strategy analyses and program planning processes
  • Analyze programs and develop sound, efficient and effective execution strategies
  • Use experience, expertise and skill set to advise, assist, and recommend actions to the Integrated Mission Delta on consistency and continuity of requirements, objectives and planning/programming
  • Develop, prepare, staff and review Early Strategy and Issues Session, Acquisition Strategy Panel and Acquisition Approval Process Board briefings
  • Support the development, management, and monitoring of program and project-integrated master schedules
  • Advise Government personnel on contractor performance issues and risks
  • Prepare briefings, acquisition documents and reports
  • Present Government briefings
  • Assist in risk assessments
  • Apply cost analytics and data processing skills to provide advice and assistance on technical evaluations and realism, balance, and reasonableness assessments of proposals
  • Support requirements definition, development, configuration management, test (all phases), risk management, system security engineering, operations and organizational/intermediate/depot-level, maintenance (all types), planning/programming, implementation/deployment of solutions, review, and development of system technical baseline documentation

Minimum Qualifications:

Citizenship: Must be a US Citizen

Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a Secret level clearance

Education: High school diploma 

Years of Experience: 3 or more years' of directly related experience

Additional Experience:

  • Possess knowledge, experience, and ability to perform as a Program Manager and/or Project Manager
  • Possess the ability to learn new processes and manage those processes with little supervision
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
  • Experience and familiarity with the 12 product support elements/integrated logistics support elements

Preferred Experience:

Clearance: Active DoD Secret Security Clearance required at the time of application, with the ability to maintain status throughout the contract lifecycle.

Certification: APDP Level II (or equivalent - such as PMP) in Program Management

Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related technical discipline.

Years of Experience: Minimum 7 years of project management experience within the DoD contracting space, including at least 3 years directly overseeing early warning radar or large-scale sensor system integrations.

Additional Experience: 

  • Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification combined with a recognized Agile certification (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), PMI-ACP, or SAFe Agilist).
  • Advanced degree (Masterโ€™s) in Engineering Management, or direct technical experience with the AN/FPS-132 UEWR architecture, phased-array sensors, and RF signal processing.
  • Demonstrated success implementing scaling Agile frameworks specifically for legacy DoD hardware modernization and software sustainment programs.
  • 3 years in a Department of Defense program office
  • Experience with Confluence and Jira
  • Experience with missile warning, missile defense, space domain awareness, and command and control systems
  • Familiarity with Cybersecurity processes regarding ATO submittal

Location: Peterson Space Force Base, CO

Hybrid: 20% of your time working remotely, must be local to Colorado Springs, CO โ€“ subject to change per the customerโ€™s discretion

Travel: 25% travel may be required CONUS and OCONUS
