Direct Reports: Event Manager

PILF Restaurant Group is looking for a dynamic, high-energy Director of Catering to lead our catering operations, expand our reach, and ensure every event is executed flawlessly. If you love food, people, and the thrill of bringing an event to life, this role is for you! You'll be the mastermind behind our events, making sure every guest has an unforgettable experience.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Catering Operations & Sales Growth
    • Drive catering sales for both in-house and off-site events with an entrepreneurial mindset.
    • Close leads through Triple Seat and ensure an efficient sales process from inquiry to execution.
    • Identify new market opportunities, potential clients, and strategic partnerships to drive growth.
    • Stay engaged with the Texas Restaurant Association and other DFW networking opportunities to promote PILF and expand our catering reach.
  • Off-Site Catering Oversight
    • Attend and oversee all major off-site catering events to ensure flawless execution.
    • Handle all logistics, including staffing, transportation, and equipment setup.
    • Collaborate with venues, vendors, and clients to deliver a top-tier experience.
  • Guest Relations & Sales Support
    • Be the face of PILF’s catering operations, building strong relationships.
    • Work closely with the catering team to develop catering proposals, contracts, and pricing strategies.
    • Conduct tastings, site visits, and client consultations to secure new business and retain existing customers.
    • Utilize Triple Seat to track bookings, manage event details, and streamline communication.
  • Team Leadership & Staff Management
    • Coach and mentor our Event Manager, providing leadership and growth opportunities.
    • Manage all scheduling needs for off-site events, including contract labor through vendor partners.
    • Lead, train, and inspire the catering team to deliver exceptional service.
    • Foster a team culture that prioritizes collaboration, efficiency, and fun!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Event Magic Maker: Collaborate with our clients to design and execute unforgettable in-house restaurant events and off-site catering. From intimate dinners to large celebrations, you're the architect of every special moment.
  • Client Concierge Extraordinaire: Be the go-to person for clients looking for a seamless catering experience. You'll help them select menus, plan décor, and ensure that every detail is tailored to their event vision.
  • On-the-Day Event Coordination: Oversee the smooth execution of events, ensuring staff is well-prepared, food is timely, and guests are treated like royalty. From the first course to the last toast, you're on top of it all.
  • Team Leadership: Guide and motivate the catering and event teams to ensure high-quality service and event execution. You’ll train staff, troubleshoot issues, and keep the energy high (and the stress low!).
  • Off-Site Catering Logistics: Manage all off-site catering operations, including food prep, transport, and set-up. You’ll ensure that every event is delivered with the same level of excellence as in our restaurants.
  • Collaboration & Creativity: Work closely with the culinary team to create innovative menu offerings that delight guests and elevate their event experience.
  • Problem Solver & Multitasker: When the unexpected happens (because it always does!), you’ll be the calm and composed problem-solver who makes it all work, ensuring client satisfaction from start to finish.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • A proven track record in event coordination or catering management (preferably in a restaurant or hospitality setting).
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail—you can juggle multiple events without breaking a sweat.
  • A love of food, a passion for service, and a keen eye for creating beautiful, memorable experiences.
