Lactalis USA, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Procurement Intern based in Chicago, IL.


This is a paid internship. The Intern will be required to work full-time, 20-40 hours per week. As a Procurement intern, you will work within our Indirect Procurement teams based in Buffalo, NY, including but not limited to: Category Management, Procurement Project Management and Strategic Sourcing on Indirect sides of Procurement, as well as performing a variety of administrative functions and tasks in assisting the direct Procurement manager.

Requirements:


From your EXPERTISE to ours


Key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Support the Indirect North American sourcing team.
  • Assisting on market analysis, sourcing initiatives
  • Assisting on a variety of business projects requiring research, cost analyses, and engagement of internal/external stakeholders
  • Assisting in negotiating supplier pricing
  • Assisting in the Request for Quotation (RFQ) process: Supplier Pre-Selection, Evaluating Supplier Bids, Awarding Supplier
  • Maintaining top level Supplier relationship management
  • Upload and maintain the Procurement SharePoint database.
  • Update and manage supplier & category spend trackers.

• Pursuing Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, Business, Operations Management or other

related field is required.


Experience Requirements

• Preferred Procurement or related internship/co-op experience or related course work.


Position background

• As a Procurement intern, you will work within one of our Chicago based Procurement Indirect teams, including but not limited to: Strategic Sourcing, Category Management, Procurement Project Management and Sourcing on Indirect sides of Procurement.
