We are seeking a Cash Application Analyst for our Accounts Receivable department located in Jericho, NY. The ideal candidate will assist the department manager and supervisors with daily operations including, but not limited to, reviewing and analyzing heavy volume tenant accounts, monitoring building level cash, responding to internal and external cash receipt inquiries, participating in system enhancement testing, reconciling reports, and performing other assigned tasks as needed. This person is responsible for processing checks, cash receipts from lender's lockboxes, and wire transactions. Candidate must possess advanced Excel skills, strong analytical and communication abilities, be highly organized, have a strong attention to detail and be able to multi-task and meet tight deadlines. This position requires frequent interaction with various internal departments and external parties, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or associate degree, or equivalent, relevant experience

  • Advanced Excel skills, inclusive of proficiency in functions, formulas, sorting and filtering; pivot tables and v-lookups a plus

  • Strong analytical and communication skills

  • Working knowledge of cash applications and account reconciliations

  • Prior experience with real estate accounting / charges / billings a plus

  • Prior experience in the banking, real estate industry, finance, or accounting is preferred

  • Experience with real estate management software is a plus.

  • Embraces a technology-forward mindset with strong curiosity for merging tools, AI in particular, bringing forward-looking perspective that inspires innovative solutions.

The expected salary range for this position is between $50,000 and $60,000. The actual compensation will be based on factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, market and business considerations and other factors permitted by law.
