Job Title: Cash Application Analyst
Job Description
This role focuses on processing and applying incoming payments, maintaining accurate accounts receivable records, and reconciling bank accounts. The Cash Application Analyst uses strong Excel and accounting skills to ensure that cash posting is timely, accurate, and aligned with internal financial controls while supporting a growing organization in the data center expansion space.
Responsibilities
- Process and apply incoming cash receipts accurately to customer accounts and invoices.
- Perform daily cash posting activities and ensure that all payments are recorded in a timely manner.
- Reconcile bank accounts regularly, identifying and resolving discrepancies between bank statements and internal records.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts receivable records, including adjustments, write-offs, and corrections as needed.
- Use Excel tools such as pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions to analyze, verify, and report on cash application and accounts receivable data.
- Collaborate with the accounts receivable team in Dallas and offshore team members to resolve payment issues and ensure consistent processes.
- Investigate unapplied cash, short payments, and overpayments, and work with internal stakeholders to determine proper application.
- Support month-end and period-end closing activities by providing reconciliations and cash application reports.
- Perform data entry with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail to support financial reporting and audit requirements.
- Follow established accounting policies and procedures to maintain strong internal controls over cash application and reconciliation.
Essential Skills
- Proven experience in cash application and cash posting within an accounting or accounts receivable function.
- Hands-on experience with accounts receivable processes, including payment application and reconciliations.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.
- Practical knowledge of accounting principles related to cash application and bank reconciliation.
- Accurate and efficient data entry skills with strong attention to detail.
- Experience performing bank account reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.
- Ability to work effectively with both onshore and offshore team members.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for investigating unapplied or misapplied payments.
- Good communication skills to collaborate with internal stakeholders and team members.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working with Oracle or similar enterprise financial systems.
- Background in a high-volume accounts receivable or shared services environment.
- Familiarity with reporting and analysis of cash application metrics using Excel.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-growing organization and evolving processes.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Work Environment
The role operates within a collaborative accounts receivable function that includes a team based in Dallas and an offshore team, requiring regular communication and coordination across locations. The organization is part of a rapidly expanding data center environment, offering exposure to a dynamic, growth-oriented setting. Work is primarily computer-based, using Excel, Oracle, and other accounting tools to manage cash application, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations. The position involves a professional office environment with standard business hours, though flexibility may be needed to support communication with offshore team members.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
