  • Partner with Corporate Treasury on cash forecasting, liquidity planning, funding strategies, and bank account administration.
  • Oversee monthly close and financial reporting for assigned senior housing properties, with emphasis on cash-related accounts and activity.
  • Review journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses to ensure alignment between property cash movements and operating results.
  • Provide technical guidance to Property Accountants on complex transactions such as accruals, intercompany activity, and non-routine cash items, while partnering with Operations and Asset Management on cash flow drivers.
  • Serve as a process owner or subject matter expert for SOX controls related to cash, reconciliations, journal entries, and close processes.
  • Ensure consistent control execution across portfolios while coordinating with Internal Audit and SOX teams on walkthroughs, testing, and remediation.
  • Drive standardization and continuous improvement in cash management and property accounting processes.
  • Serve as a primary contact for external auditors on senior housing property and cash-related matters.
  • Prepare and review audit schedules, bank confirmations, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
  • Support quarterly and annual audits while ensuring timely resolution of audit findings.
  • Support intercompany cash transactions, eliminations, and consolidation adjustments related to the senior housing portfolio.
  • Ensure property-level outputs align with corporate reporting timelines and assist with management reporting, cash flow analysis, and variance explanations.
  • Manage and develop Property Accounting team members through coaching, feedback, and performance support.
  • Establish expectations for reconciliation quality, documentation, and audit readiness while promoting accountability and continuous improvement.
