Insurance Processing Specialist

  • Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Fridays end at 3:00 PM and employees are paid for the full day

We're seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Processing Specialist to manage insurance applications from submission through policy placement. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in life insurance processing, mortgage processing, underwriting support, loan processing, document management, or financial services operations.

You'll play a critical role in reviewing applications, gathering documentation, tracking case progress, and coordinating with brokers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure a smooth and efficient process.

Responsibilities

  • Review new insurance applications for accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage cases from submission through policy placement.
  • Gather, organize, and track underwriting requirements, including medical and financial documentation.
  • Coordinate with brokers, insurance carriers, and internal teams to keep applications moving forward.
  • Monitor case status and proactively follow up on outstanding requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation within the Agency Management System (AMS).
  • Assist with quotes, application packets, carrier portals, and policy-related paperwork.
  • Ensure all files are organized, compliant, and up to date.
  • Deliver an exceptional experience to brokers and partners throughout the process.

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in:
    • Life Insurance Processing
    • Mortgage Processing
    • Loan Processing
    • Insurance Operations
    • Underwriting Support
    • Financial Services Operations
    • Document Control or Document Management
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
  • Experience within life insurance or financial services.
  • Familiarity with underwriting processes and insurance documentation.
  • Experience working with carrier portals or policy administration systems.
  • Strong ability to identify missing documentation and resolve processing issues quickly.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.85 - $36.06/hr.
