Job description

The International Tax Case Assistant will support the firm’s International Tax and Latin America practice by providing administrative, legal, and office support in our Washington, DC office. This role works closely with attorneys, paralegals, and staff to assist with client matters, legal document preparation, scheduling, matter organization, and day-to-day office operations. Responsibilities include maintaining electronic files, assisting with client intake and matter openings, preparing correspondence, coordinating meetings and deadlines, and supporting Spanish-language communication and document review for international tax matters.

This position will also assist with general office and facilities support, including answering phones, greeting clients and visitors, processing mail and deliveries, maintaining conference rooms and common areas, and supporting office meetings and events. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional and service-oriented approach. Strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work collaboratively with attorneys, staff, clients, and vendors are essential.

Spanish fluency is required, including the ability to read, write, and communicate professionally in both English and Spanish. Prior law firm experience or experience supporting tax, immigration, international, or corporate legal matters is preferred. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) is required, and experience with electronic document management systems is preferred. An ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate is also preferred. This is a full-time, in-office position based in Washington, DC.
