Job description

Job Title: Carpenter (Rough / Framing & Finish)

Job Description

This role focuses on rough carpentry for a commercial construction projects. You will perform a mix of framing, finish carpentry, and general labor duties while working on a new church build and remodel in downtown Appleton. You will use a wide range of hand and power tools daily to prepare materials and support the successful completion of the project.

Responsibilities

  • Perform rough carpentry tasks with a primary focus on framing for new commercial construction.
  • Carry out finish carpentry work, including detailed and precise tasks that support final fit and finish.
  • Use hand tools and power tools daily, including power drills, tape measures, hand saws, nail guns, and reciprocating saws, to measure, cut, and prepare materials prior to framing.
  • Assist with general labor duties on the construction site, supporting various stages of the project as needed.
  • Participate in demolition work on the construction site, safely removing existing materials and structures as required.
  • Support occasional concrete-related tasks, such as helping with pouring sidewalks when needed.
  • Collaborate closely with the site leadership and crew to ensure work aligns with project plans and timelines.
  • Maintain a safe, organized work area and follow all site safety procedures while working with tools and equipment.
  • Adapt to different tasks on site, including rough carpentry, finish carpentry, demolition, and other construction activities as directed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Manitowoc, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
