Renewal by Andersen, America's premier window and door company, is seeking a Remote Measure Technician to join our team.

The Remote Measure Technician is a dedicated specialist who examines existing windows virtually, re-measures for accuracy, and assesses projects for production and installation planning. This role collaborates internally throughout the project to ensure a successful installation, aiming to exceed customer expectations with the Renewal by Andersen Homeowner Experience.

Responsibilities

  • Supports Design Consultants during the sales process by answering installation questions related to the homeowner's project as needed.
  • Conduct virtual sessions after sale is completed to obtain all technical measurements, material lists, and additional project details needed for proper procurement and installation.
  • Identify, communicate, and align project requirements with customer expectations. Document any changes from original contract with Customer and Design Consultant if necessary.
  • Identify, document, and provide training solutions related to job costing, construction requirements, and building codes.
  • Ensure product specifications are aligned with professional installation methods, make changes as necessary.
  • Maintains a thorough understanding of Renewal by Andersen products, installation techniques, and construction basics.

Duties and Expectations

  • Works a shift to match the Design Consultants appointment times
  • Maintains a thorough knowledge of the product, installation techniques, and construction basics.
  • Understands and adheres to the established Renewal by Andersen processes and standards.
  • Provides accurate measurements and documentation of job-related circumstances within 72 hours of sale/measure.
  • Strives for customer satisfaction by addressing their needs effectively and ensuring that customers accept proposed solutions and/or alternative installation techniques.

Job Qualifications

  • High attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and documentation
  • Strong knowledge of window installation techniques and construction basics
  • Renewal installation experience strongly preferred
  • Previous carpentry finishing and/or remodeling experience required
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint as well as all current applications used in the office and in the field
  • Continued education within the Renewal by Andersen network
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Customer-centric mindset with a focus on delivering solutions that meet customer expectations
  • Strong home internet connection and private workspace
  • Valid Drivers License and reliable transportation to and from work
  • Other duties as assigned
