Job description

Title: Maintenance Carpenter
Company: Global Power Components - www.globalpowercomponents.com
Location: Milwaukee, WI (onsite 5-days/week)
Hire Type: Temp or Temp-to-Hire
Overview:
Global Power Components is a privately held, growing manufacturer of UL steel fuel tanks, trailers, large generator enclosures, and modular metal enclosures for housing fully equipped electrical distribution and control equipment. As a result of continued growth, we are looking for motivated Maintenance Carpenters to join our growing team.
Responsibilities:
  • Repairs: Inspects buildings for damage and repairs structures like walls, ceilings, doors, windows, and floors.
  • Cabinetry & Millwork: Fabricates, repairs, and installs cabinets, shelves, countertops, and finished trim.
  • Maintains structural components to prevent deterioration.
  • Install doors, pre-hang wood/steel.
  • Exterior Work: Repairs siding, decks, fences, and outdoor structures.
  • Collaboration: Coordinates with other trades (plumbers, electricians) and manages subcontractors.

Required Skills:
  • Experience:3-5 years' experience in rough and finish carpentry.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with power tools (saws, routers, grinders) and ability to read blueprints and sketches.
  • Physical Ability: Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
