Job Title: Carpenter

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented carpenter to join our commercial construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in framing, drywall, finish carpentry, and reading blueprints. This role involves working on a variety of commercial projects, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Measure, cut, and assemble wood and other materials for walls, floors, doors, windows, and fixtures.
  • Install structures and fixtures such as windows, frames, floorings, trim, and hardware.
  • Perform layout and framing for commercial buildings.
  • Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and other trades to meet project timelines.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
  • Inspect and repair damaged frameworks or other structures and fixtures.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial carpentry.
  • Proficient in using carpentry tools and equipment.
  • Strong understanding of building codes and safety regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks in various environments.
