Job description

Job Title: Construction General Laborer

Job Description

Work commercial, industrial, institutional, and agricultural building projects under the direct supervision of site superintendents and regular oversight from ownership. This role focuses on constructing, erecting, installing, and repairing wood, metal, plywood, wallboard, and related fixtures for both interior and exterior applications using a full range of carpenter’s hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

  • Construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, metal, plywood, and wallboard using carpenter’s hand and power tools.
  • Perform rough and finish carpentry, including framing, trim carpentry, drywall installation, and concrete formwork as required by project specifications.
  • Work on interiors and exteriors of commercial, industrial, institutional, and agricultural buildings, ensuring all work aligns with building codes and project standards.
  • Read and interpret technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models to lay out and execute carpentry tasks accurately.

Essential Skills

  • Demonstrated carpentry experience in commercial construction, including rough carpentry, framing, finish carpentry, trim carpentry, and drywall work.
  • Proficiency using carpenter’s hand and power tools safely and effectively for cutting, fastening, and assembling wood, metal, plywood, and wallboard.
