Job description

Do you have a passion for improving the health of individuals receiving behavioral health services?ย Would you like to be a valuable member of a diversity driven, mission-minded team that impacts our community?ย If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to work as a Performance Improvement & Accreditation Coordinator for the Quality Management & Privacy Department!ย 

What You Will Be Doing
In this role, you will collaborate with interdepartmental teams across the agency to support performance monitoring, data reporting, and continuous quality improvement initiatives. Responsibilities include supporting data collection, validation, and submission for required reporting as a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC,) including event reporting, grievances, appeals, and performance measures, while ensuring alignment with CCBHC, Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS), CARF standards and other applicable regulatory requirements. You will also coordinate CCBHC critical incident and sentinel event processes and partner with Clinical, Analytics, IT, and Quality teams to monitor trends and support improvement efforts.

You will serve as a primary coordinator for CARF accreditation activities, working across departments to support standards conformance, survey readiness, and ongoing accreditation. This includes tracking standards, facilitating record reviews, coordinating development of quality improvement plans, and supporting performance measurement while promoting continuous improvement and person-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally competent practices.

What We Require

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in healthcare administration, public health or a related field (or equivalent experience) required.
  • Experience with CARF accreditation required.
  • Minimum of three yearsโ€™ experience in behavioral health or community mental health settings, including CCBHCs.
  • Familiarity with data reporting tools and electronic health record systems.
  • Knowledge and direct experience in the areas of quality assurance, performance measurement, and reporting requirements.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and documentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, analyze, and present information in verbal and written reports.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating extreme eye for detail and meeting deadlines.
  • Lived experiences with behavioral health issues are desired.
  • Advanced computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, database management, and e-mail.
  • Valid Michigan Motor Vehicle Operatorโ€™s license required.
