Job description

Students in this role fulfill various tasks in support of Career Services. Tasks include assisting students with accessing resources and digital platforms; providing coaching and peer support; helping students navigate campus resources; and assisting professional staff with general office duties such as answering phones, making appointments, and welcoming guests who visit the office.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

1. Answer phones and taking messages for professional staff.

2. Supporting students with a variety of resources primarily Handshake.

3. Assisting professional staff members with projects.

4. General office duties.

5. Complete on-going training and attend regularly scheduled meetings.

6. Support programming across all divisions of Career Services.

7. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Credentials, and Competencies

Effective communication both verbally and in writing. Ability to intuitively reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment in order to solve problems of both a routine and complex nature. Takes initiative, highly motivated and organized. Regularly lift 10 or fewer pounds.
