Omni Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort is seeking a dynamic, service-oriented Assistant Front Office Manager to support the daily operations of the Front Office while delivering exceptional guest experiences consistent with Omni Hotels & Resorts' culture of genuine hospitality. This leader will oversee front desk operations, mentor associates, ensure service excellence, and help drive departmental financial and operational goals.
The ideal candidate is passionate about luxury hospitality, thrives in a fast-paced resort environment, and is committed to developing associates while creating memorable guest experiences.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Assist in managing the daily operations of the Front Desk, Guest Services, PBX, and Front Office functions.
  • Lead, coach, and motivate front office associates to deliver exceptional guest service.
  • Ensure compliance with Omni Hotels & Resorts' service standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Resolve guest concerns professionally and proactively to ensure complete guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor guest arrival and departure processes to maximize efficiency and personalized service.
  • Assist with scheduling, payroll review, performance evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary actions.
  • Train new associates and support ongoing development initiatives.
  • Conduct daily stand-up meetings and communicate important operational updates.
  • Collaborate with Housekeeping, Engineering, Food & Beverage, Sales, and Reservations to ensure seamless guest experiences.
  • Monitor room inventory, upgrades, VIP arrivals, and special requests.
  • Support revenue optimization by managing room assignments, upsell opportunities, and occupancy strategies.
  • Review reports, guest feedback, and operational metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with cash handling procedures, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Act as Manager on Duty as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of Front Office supervisory experience in a hotel or resort environment.
  • Previous luxury or full-service resort experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Opera PMS preferred.
  • Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management preferred or equivalent work experience.

  • Exceptional guest service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to coach and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong conflict resolution and decision-making abilities.
  • Financial awareness including labor management and departmental budgets.
