What You'll Be Doing

The Credit Card Specialist will oversee all daily activities, responsibilities, and operations associated with the bank's credit card program. This individual will manage day-to-day operations, act as a subject matter expert for credit card inquiries and deliver outstanding support to both clients and internal staff. They will assist with the development of credit cards related to transaction processing, account maintenance, client service escalation, or other aspects of the credit card program for both consumer and business cards. Will work cross-functionally with servicing partners and our regional teams to seamlessly provide quality service for our clients. Provides friendly, quality client service and treats clients with respect and dignity, either in person or on the phone.


Core Responsibilities

  • Manage daily credit card operations for both consumer and business clients.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of credit card account maintenance tasks including onboarding, ongoing maintenance, issue resolution, and escalated client support.
  • Monitor service tickets, email groups, and take phone calls from clients and team members regarding specific and general questions regarding our program.
  • Assist in setting service standards for responding to client inquiries, such as credit line increases, due date adjustments, chargebacks, fraud resolution and other account-related requests.
  • Responsible for supporting and administering the bank's credit card processing and credit card strategies to increase product penetration and enhance the organization's credit card portfolio.
  • Work cross functionally with our credit card underwriter, finance department, operations team, client experience team, and retail staff members.
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on credit card operations, providing prompt and effective support to both internal teams and external clients.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of card and payment operations strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable internal policies, regulatory guidelines, and industry laws.


General Responsibilities

  • Has access to confidential information relating to clients and accounts. Protects the privacy and confidentiality of clients and work
  • Performs other bank related duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Understands and complies with banking regulations by following bank policies and procedures. Stays abreast of relevant regulations, current industry matters, and any changes implemented internally to ensure compliance.


Credit Card Specialists are generally scheduled to work between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM Monday through Friday, hours can be flexible depending on need. Internal candidates located in one of our branch locations may be considered.

Requirements

Skills/Experience You'll Need

  • High School Diploma/G.E.D.
  • 3-5 years' work experience in a financial institution.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Credit Card processing work experience is a plus.

  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
