JOB SUMMARY
The Flex Manager, Global Standards is a project-based, fixed-term role within the Global Lodging Product Standards team, with an anticipated end date of December 31, 2026. This position has been established to support the integration of Series by Marriott (Greater China-specific) into Marriott International's global ecosystem. The scope of this role is centered around development, implementation, and execution of the brand, operational and non-operational standards ensuring alignment with Marriott's enterprise frameworks, processes, and brand expectations,
by partnering with a diverse group of disciplines within the organization. Within this framework, the role provides technical expertise and support to stakeholders inside and outside of the department and the larger working team, and demonstrates knowledge of job-relevant issues, products, systems, and processes. As part of the Global Lodging Product Standards Team, this role works with peers to ensure correct and timely data collection, data interpretation and/or data entry in the appropriate proprietary systems. This role focuses on on-time completion of deliverables, and acts as a key point of communication between all stakeholders. As a project team member, this position acts as the first point of contact for any issues or discrepancies as it relates to their key deliverables.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience Required
  • 4-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, or related major and 3+ years of relevant professional experience, demonstrating progressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional performance;

OR
  • High School Diploma or GED and 4+ years of relevant professional experience in the hospitality industry, demonstrating progressive career growth and pattern of exceptional performance

  • Works with peers to ensure correct and timely data collection, data interpretation and/ordata entry in the appropriate proprietary systems.
  • Acts as a key point of communication between all stakeholders, ensuring on time completion of deliverables.
  • Monitors partner/customer satisfaction; anticipates and responds to feedback.
  • Uses effective communication strategies to build and maintain relationships.
  • Models and coaches team on scope of decision-making authority and ensures clear leadership accountabilities are in place.
  • Promotes inclusion and engagement; identifies and reports concerns related to equity and fair treatment, giving all associates the opportunity to achieve their full potential.
  • Models courage, flexibility, and optimism when managing multiple demands or changing priorities, communicates need for change, how it impacts work, provides resources and coaching, and adjusts team priorities as needed.
  • Determines how change impacts stakeholders and communicates concerns to leadership
