OVERVIEW:

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking full-time distribution center Support Technician to join our team in Conklin, NY! We are currently seeking a skilled, passionate, committed and driven fulltime Support Technician to join our team. This Support Technician position is for our 1A (Sunday - Wednesday; 6:30AM -5PM) with some additional pre-scheduled shifts required as business needs dictate.

The primary responsibility of this support technician is to enable, maintain, test, and replace all types of IT equipment within the Distribution Centers. This role involves collaborating with various departments to maximize teammate productivity through the effective use of technology. Additionally, you will assist the System Administrator with their daily tasks and ensure that the Distribution Centers operate at peak efficiency.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and manage RF scanning equipment, Monarch label printers, desktop PCs, laptops, and PDT equipment, conducting regular audits and inventory checks.
  • Provide technical support for printing, scanning, and general systems, and hardware inquiries.
  • Collaborate across departments to troubleshoot and maintain cross-department applications such as WM, PTL, Camera, RLM, and MHE systems.
  • Maintain IDF cabinets, including regular checks on switches and UPS, requiring certification on scissor lifts or man lifts.
  • Repair, replace, and conduct in-depth testing and troubleshooting of network issues as needed.

Teammate Administrative Support

  • Onboard new teammates in the WM system and submit requests to the IT Service Desk to add users to AS400.
  • Resolve WMS issues for associates and open incident reports with the IT Service Desk when necessary.
  • Assist teammates with password resets for RF and desktop applications as needed.
  • Serve as the point of contact for the Service Desk to troubleshoot issues and open incidents during non-peak hours at the CSC.

Warehouse Management System Knowledge

  • Acquire proficiency in DC systems such as Manhattan WM, LM, RLM, PTL, and MHE Servers.
  • Learn and manage the patching of Microsoft Servers in the DC.
  • Provide coverage for the System Admin during their absence or when working on external projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associates Degree Preferred

  • Preferred 1-3 years experience

  • Troubleshoot equipment-related and WMS and WCS problems, analyze potential solutions, and implement a solution that best fixes problems

  • Perform technical work in the installation of new and existing IT hardware and software.

  • Maintain RF scanner inventory and perform trouble-shooting on RF scanners submitted for repair. If scanner requires maintenance by outside company promptly complete Repair RA and ship scanner(s) out for repair. Track turnaround time

  • Train / assist end-users in the use of equipment and WMS software

  • Ability to effectively communicate technical issues

  • Good interpersonal skills with customers, peers, and management

  • Microsoft Office Experience

  • Understanding of information technology policies, procedures, and best practices

  • Heightened sense of urgency and attention to detail

Targeted Pay Range: $35,400.00 - $53,300.00. This is part of a competitive total rewards package that could include other components such as: incentive, equity and benefits.
