What you will have an opportunity to do:

We're looking for a team-oriented Maintenance Engineer II to join our Property Operations Team! This position will primarily work as Quick Caller Maintenance but may be assigned to other areas as needed.

As a Maintenance Engineer II, you would be responsible for performing repairs and preventive maintenance tasks in all areas in a professional manner. Specifically, this includes, but is not limited to, the following duties:

This is a Full-Timeposition. Must have availability to work from 3:30pm-12am Sunday - Thursday.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Perform maintenance tasks in guest suites, public space, outlets and back of the house areas as required.

  • Respond to guest calls, and complete written assignment sheets provided by Supervisors.

  • Visually inspect and detect items needing repair.

  • Maintain knowledge of a wide variety of maintenance trades.

  • Appropriately respond to any fire or other emergency procedure.

  • Adhere to all OSHA regulations.

  • Schedule workload effectively.

  • Maintain detailed record keeping for logs and inspection sheets.

  • Adhere to all OSHA and EPA regulations.

  • Demonstrate commitment to making a conscientious effort to eliminate or reduce the risk of injury to our guests and associates, damage to our property or the property of others. Know the correct action to take in the event of an emergency and demonstrate this knowledge by acting appropriately in the event of an emergency.

When assigned to Quick Caller role:

  • Perform routine repair and maintenance of buildings and rooms as assigned.

  • Maintain working understanding of basic plumbing and residential electricity.

  • Maintain knowledge in the use of all hand tools used in the performance of assigned duties.

  • Perform routine maintenance of fire pits / fireplace.

  • Perform routine maintenance of paint and wallcovering.

When assigned to Painter role:

  • Perform routine repair and maintenance of buildings as assigned.

  • Maintain knowledge in the use of all painting hand tools and spray equipment.

  • Maintain knowledge in application techniques used for different paints and textures.

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.

  • Maintain inventory of supplies needed to perform job function.

  • Report major repairs and items which cannot be repaired to the Supervisors for further action and if necessary, place a suite out of order.

  • Other duties and special projects as assigned by the supervisor, such as water proofing, shop clean up and labeling of hazardous materials.

What are we looking for?

EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, required

  • Training or Apprenticeship in mechanics, carpentry, HVAC, refrigeration, and/or electrical, preferred

EXPERIENCE:

  • Basic experience in maintenance trades to include electrical, plumbing, mechanical and carpentry, required

  • Prior customer service experience, required

  • At least one (1) year experience in hotel or resort, preferred

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES:

  • Certification in mechanics, carpentry, HVAC, refrigeration, and/or electrical, preferred

  • Valid Arizona Driver's License, preferred

  • CPR / First Aid Certified, preferred

  • CPO Certification, preferred
