Familiarity with compliance tracking software, data entry systems, and sometimes ServSafe or similar certifications is typically required. Building positive relationships with site staff and maintaining detailed records also help streamline monitoring and improve compliance over time.

What are CACFP Monitors?

CACFP Monitors are professionals responsible for overseeing and ensuring compliance with the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) regulations at participating sites such as child care centers, adult day care centers, and family day care homes. Their primary duties include conducting site visits, reviewing meal service practices, checking documentation, and providing technical assistance to ensure that nutritious meals and snacks are served according to federal guidelines.
