JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities

Responsible for all production activities of the cable harness electro-mechanical assembly area in order to complete the assigned work order correctly and efficiently.

Activities

Activities include but not limited to:

  • Pull kits with assigned work order number from staging shelf.
  • Identify and count all components (connectors, contacts, screws, washers, etc.) according to the Bill of Materials (BOM).
  • Using assemble drawings, work instruction, BOM, and print, assemble cable harnesses paying attention to detail and instructions from these documents.
  • Machine or hand clean assemblies as needed.
  • Work with the following:
    • Cable harnesses
    • Label printers
    • Hand/Electrical tools
    • Soldering compliant with IPC 610 standards
    • Cable Testing equipment
    • Press Fit
    • Box Build
    • Hardware

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; must be highly dependable with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Minimum 2 yrs. experience in Cable Harness assembly.
  • Ability to count accurately.
  • Good hand/eye coordination; good communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents is required along with basic computer skills.
  • ISO-9000 experience desirable.
  • Cable harness contact crimping and soldering experience required.
