Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple Cable and Harness Technician 1's for a contract opportunity in Gilbert, AZ.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)
  • High School Diploma or GED plus a minimum of 5 additional years of education and/or relevant experience in assembly, electronics, manufacturing, production or logistics.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical assembly and wiring.
  • Must be capable of successfully completing certification to IPC WHMA-A-620 (Cable and Wire Harness Assembly) and NASA-J-STD.
  • Experience reading drawings and wiring diagrams. Exceptional mechanical/electrical aptitude.
  • ESD (Electro-Static Discharge) and Crimping Experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Looking for a Cable and Harness Technician to support our Gilbert Manufacturing Center. As a member of the Harness Manufacturing department, you'll get to embark on a career putting innovative, reliable, and agile products and ideas into orbit, and beyond.
Responsibilities
Manufacture cable / harness products. Reads and interprets Work Instructions, schematics, wire lists, and drawings. Ensures quality of the hardware is maintained and company procedures are followed. Ensures work is done with completeness, accuracy, adherence to operation sheets, ISO procedures, schedules, and assign tasks. Provides regular communication to shop leads and Work Center management on status and technical issues.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)
  • Current certification to IPC WHMA-A-620, NASA-J-STD; or other certifications in electronics assembly and workmanship.
  • Experience with MES applications including workflow, signoff and documentation.
  • Graduate from Technical Trade School.

REQUIRED EDUCATION
High School Diploma/GED is required.
School must be accredited.
WORK HOURS
9/80 workweek. This is a 2nd Shift Position. Working Hours are 3:00pm - 12:30am. This position will serve on-site at our Gilbert, AZ Campus.
