Job description

Business Development Manager – Property Restoration | Middlesex, NJ

Base salary: $50,000–$65,000 + uncapped commission | Realistic first-year total earnings: $70,000–$100,000 | Vehicle allowance

When a pipe bursts at 2 AM or a kitchen fire displaces a family, the phone call that follows goes to whoever built the relationship first. That's your job. PuroClean Disaster Response is a growing water, fire, mold, and biohazard mitigation company serving Middlesex, Somerset, Mercer, Hunterdon, and Monmouth counties, and we're hiring an outside sales professional to own our referral network and drive new business.
This is a B2B relationship sales role — not retail, not inside sales. You'll own the full service area, build a book of business, and become the name that insurance agents, plumbers, and property managers think of when property damage happens.
What You'll Do

  • Build and maintain referral relationships with insurance agents, insurance adjusters, plumbers, property managers, commercial facility managers, real estate professionals, and senior living communities
  • Prospect new accounts through in-person visits, cold calling, networking events, and trade associations
  • Deliver presentations and lunch-and-learns (including CE classes for insurance agents) to small groups
  • Represent the company at trade shows, chamber events, marketing events, and industry associations — and help plan and run our own
  • Track all sales activity, pipeline, and account touches in our CRM
  • Support local marketing efforts, including social media content from the field
  • Hand off won opportunities cleanly to our operations team — you sell it, we service it
What You Bring

  • 2+ years of outside sales, B2B sales, account management, or territory sales experience (restoration, insurance, building services, or construction industry a plus — not required, we'll teach you the industry)
  • A track record of hitting activity and revenue targets you can speak to specifically
  • Strong face-to-face communication and the persistence to win accounts that take months of touches
  • Comfort with CRM software and Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary $50,000–$65,000 (based on experience) plus uncapped commission
  • Vehicle/transportation allowance
  • Health insurance
  • 401(k)
  • Paid time off
  • Paid training & professional development, including tuition assistance
  • Performance bonuses and company events
