great people. great services. great results.
Each and every individual plays a key role in the growth and legacy of our company. We know the next big idea can come from anyone. We encourage developing and attracting expertise that differentiates us as a company as we continue to raise the bar.
Job Summary:
As we continue the transformation of our financial systems across our 27+ distinct business sectors, we are looking for a Manager of Finance Solutions to partner with our leadership team. This role is critical in filling the day-to-day solution management needs, allowing for broader strategic growth within the department.
You will act as the primary liaison between the Business (Sector Leadership and Department heads) and the Technical Teams on the S/4 Hana ERP platform implementation. Your goal is to assess the unique needs of incoming sectors, identify "fit/gap" requirements against our existing template, and manage the scope and timeline for their onboarding.
Responsibilities:
1. Solution Management & Scope Definition
* Fit/Gap Assessment: Assist in the discovery and assessment phase for new sectors joining the shared financial platform.
* Scope & Timeline: Work with technical teams to determine feasibility, then present clear scope, timelines, and "what it looks like" sector leadership, controllers and senior leadership, as needed.
* Requirements Gathering: Move beyond standard questionnaires ("Provoke" the business) to uncover true pain points, operational inefficiencies, and specific business needs.
2. Agile Portfolio Leadership
* Backlog Management: Own the strategy and prioritization at the "Epic" level. You are not expected to build the configuration, but you must define what gets built and when.
* Strategy vs. Execution: Translate business needs into a clear backlog for the technical delivery teams.
3. Financial Integrity & Controls
* Accounting Logic: Leverage your background in Accounting/Audit to ensure the solution is financially sound.
* Controls & Compliance: Maintain a "pulse" on internal controls, identifying potential violations or accounting risks inherent in a publicly traded company environment
4. Stakeholder Communication
* Translation: Translate complex technical concepts into plain language for the business and translate business requirements into technical specifications for the system architects.
* Executive Presence: Comfortably present impact, outcomes, and solutions to senior and sector leaders, as needed.
Qualifications:
Required Background:
* Accounting Foundation: A strong background in Accounting (General Ledger, Audit, or Accounting Projects) is required. You must understand the debits/credits and financial implications of system changes.
* Project/Product Management: Experience managing the lifecycle of finance projects, specifically in bridging the gap between operational business units and technical teams.
* Complex Environments: Experience working in large, matrixed organizations with multiple subsidiaries or diverse business lines.
Preferred Skills (The "Value Add"):
* ERP Implementation: Experience bringing acquired entities or new business units onto a central financial system.
* SAP S/4HANA Exposure: While this is not a technical configuration role, familiarity with SAP S/4HANA or similar Tier-1 ERPs is a significant plus to shorten the learning curve.
