Job description

The Indianapolis Colts are seeking an experience Business Solutions Manager/Director to be responsible for the development, refinement and adoption of the sales processes, along with being a critical source of business intelligence for the Corporate Partnerships department. The position is the system owner of all department research, consumer analytics, inventory management, sales presentation materials, and internal/external reporting systems. The position provides leadership during the brainstorming and development of sales concepts and platforms for key accounts, strategic business prospects and renewals. While having individual expertise in these areas, the position will also manage the development of integrated concepts by facilitating cross departmental brainstorming sessions with departments including marketing, content/production, community relations, ticketing, etc. The position will constantly be exploring, developing, assessing and creating new inventory concepts and sellable marketing programs.
This position reports to the Vice President of Corporate Partnerships and is an integral member of the Sales and Service team. This role is critical in developing, maintaining, and exploring systems and approaches as a centralized sales support role, rather than individual sales executives building out their own processes, programs and platforms. The successful candidate can navigate sales strategy, data and analytics, concept development and inventory controls, while displaying comprehension of the sponsorship industry, along with tactical and technical expertise in the sales process.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage systems and processes to support sales efforts, including the development of sales materials, strategies and concepts.
  • Manage analytic processes to increase organizational capability including, but not limited to, identifying and presenting consumer and brand insights, sponsorship industry insights, and NFL insights to enhance the sales process.
  • Provide expertise in matching Colts assets and opportunities with current clients and prospects business objectives.
  • Manage and maintain all available and sold inventory as part of on-going sales efforts and internal/external reporting.
  • Manage all third-party resources systems or sales tools that are owned by the Corporate Partnership department (Digideck, Trajektory, Wakefield Research, SponsorUnited, etc.).
  • Manage all league-specific reporting required for the Corporate Partnerships Department.
  • Collaborate with NFL contacts to ensure policy compliance.
  • Conduct consumer, category and/or prospect-specific research to aid in the sales process and help identify new opportunities.
  • Lead or participate in regular cross-department concept development, inventory reviews and performance reporting.
  • Collaborate with the Partnership Marketing team to ensure all programs, existing or new, can be efficiently and effectively fulfilled to meet internal and external expectations.
  • Work on additional projects as needed with a focus on those that require concept development or presentation material development.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
  • College degree required. Bachelor's Degree in a Business/Marketing or related field.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks, establish priorities, and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Understands the need for data integrity and pays attention to maintaining accurate and timely data.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to develop strong working relationships with coworkers.
  • Demonstrated success in building compelling sales presentations and creative techniques.
  • Ability to operate under pressure.
  • Be extremely customer focused with both external and internal prospects and partners.
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to be aggressive, polished and poised.
  • Good working knowledge in using sports rights and assets (retail marketing, use of all forms of media, Business-to-Business concepts, etc.) to drive B2C and B2B business results.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in creating multi-media presentations. Experience with Digideck is a plus.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator is a plus.
  • 4+ years of experience working in or adjacent to sales processes or teams.
  • Agency experience is a plus.
  • Available to work extended hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Expected travel: 1-2 weeks per season.
