Business Solution Consultant Manager


JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective

We are building a community bank for the modern world—one that delivers trusted advice, scalable solutions, and exceptional digital experiences to businesses across our footprint. The Business Solutions Consultant plays an important role in supporting the growth of our Business Banking and Retail Business lines. This position partners closely with business bankers and branch teams to support business acquisition, onboarding, and expansion by providing consultative expertise in business cash flow, payments, and digital banking solutions. This role is also actively engaged in client-facing sales, implementation, and training activities across our footprint.


Essential Functions

  1. Success in growth and expansion of business relationships within the business banking-retail business line across the Bank footprint.
  2. Success in meeting and exceeding assigned goals and objectives.
  3. Strong relationship management and business development/consultative skills and ability to work effectively with individuals and groups across the company to generate, manage and grow business customer relationships.
  4. Expert level knowledge of business banking cash flow and digital banking related solutions.
  5. Solid knowledge of business banking credit and credit quality.
  6. Broad knowledge of overall bank products and services.
  7. Excellent presentation, verbal and written communications skills.
  8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  9. Serve as a Business Solutions advisor within business banking-retail business line to develop and provide education on business related solutions, structure, and consultative approach.
  10. Assist the business bankers and retail team members with business focused solution discussions to facilitate new business acquisition and retention and expansion of existing business.
  11. Work closely and meet regularly with retail and business banking partners to discuss pipelines and approach for business focused internal and prospect and client facing meetings.
  12. Manage pre-plan tasks and meeting schedule to maintain effective support of business clients and business banking-retail units.
  13. Prepare and present comprehensive client and prospect solution demos and presentations in addition to participating in and leading product refresher and updates to business banking and retail team members.
  14. Identify business solutions, related deposit product process improvements and solutions by communicating client and prospect needs to the Business Solutions Consultant Manager.
  15. Stay abreast of business solution product knowledge, industry trends and competitor offerings.
  16. Understand any potential risk associated with any business solution offering and work with the appropriate departments to ensure all risks are identified and mitigated where necessary.

Supervisory Responsibility

This role is as an individual contributor with no supervisory responsibility.


Work Environment

This job operates in an office setting, the opportunity to telework is not available. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Office environment with job duties conducted via telephone, face to face meetings, and on the computer.


Physical Demands

This position requires manual dexterity, the ability to lift files and opening cabinets. This position requires bending, stooping or standing as necessary.


Travel

Travel may be required for this position.

For Applicants located in Salisbury/Preston, Maryland (MD) and Northern VA: The anticipated salary range for this position is $85,000–$110,000 annually.

For Applicants from all other locations: The salary will be based on experience, qualifications, and geographic location.

The ranges listed for Virginia and/or Maryland represent the good-faith compensation the Company reasonably expects to pay for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, education, certifications, internal equity, and business needs. This position may also be eligible for additional compensation, such as bonuses or incentive pay, where applicable.

Education and Experience

  1. 5+ years of banking experience, preferably in business banking, treasury, payments, or consultative sales.
  2. Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent education and experience.
  3. Demonstrated success in business development, customer solutions, and relationship growth.
  4. Strong advisory aptitude with a proven track record of achieving goals.
  5. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint preferred).
